Early with this one but I feel this might be quite the key match to getting into the playoffs.

I think Hull and us are the form teams at the moment so what was already and interesting tie is made more interesting in that Ben is now banned for it and Nisbet's ban also depletes to squad selection further.

Lam said Kai was 50-50 to play against Wakey and so I'd hope he didn't risk him with an eye on this match.

Would think you'd play Mellor with Lam and hope maybe Smith has got some minutes and can play interchange with Ipape so Davis can stay in the middle where he is more effective.

Hull have been quite decent to watch too recently and Swift, who went well for us, is much like Josh in so much as finding form befitting of their younger selves.

Given the other fixtures this coming weekend, a win would see us a clear third, which is still mind-boggling.

All that and a Queen tribute. Good times.

Should be a great game two in form teams. Hull look like they are going to push up the table. Wakefield looking even more out of touch with Cas and Hull improving. A blow re Reynolds and Nisbet. Two games harsh for Ben as he already effectively missed one. Nisbet is particularly annoying as no intent in that not sure how you control how you both fall when in a tackle!. Hopefully Kai is ok to return and opportunity for Mellor at stand off, will prob mean more game time for Davis and Wilde. Any news on Frankie Halton?

In seriousness, bit worried that this one may prove a bridge too far. Uncle Smith finally stamping his mark on the FC team. Then again Ol' Pa Lam's Leigh just keep on surprising and delighting us. Can't wait!

I think this will be a nail biter of a game nothing in it with 15 mins to go . Hull fans are confident after the wire game they played poor last time against us yet the score was pretty close so they have no fear for this one , however Leigh have ramped it up since then and have been the comps form team we have the carrot of possibly hitting 3rd in the table wow, who would have said that a few months ago ! Leigh 18 hull 14

Prediction time. 28-16 to the good guys but close until 60+ minutes.
We will need to bring a high completion rate and be patient enough to not try to force points early in both halves. We will also have to be strong in defence in every area of the game. Hull are playing well and are confident, but we are still a team that has the ability to turn up the intensity when others begin to tire.
I agree that Lam/Mellor seems the way to go, and I’m sure that will have been practiced all season for just this scenario. Mellor looks fit, has a point to prove and a chance to stamp his quality in a key game. This Amy actually work in our favour. Hull have lots of tape on Lam/Reynolds, but not Lam/Mellor.
My biggest concern would be if we are without Kai, with Nisbitt also not available. Kai is a key player in attack and defence. He is a huge part of our pace and intensity. We need that/him on Friday to give us an edge in a close game.
On another note, get down early and take in the Queen Tribute Band. They are really, really good, and I have a personal connection as the bass player (he should be wearing his best Hilda Ogden t-shirt and yellow shorts as per John Deacon) is my nephew (brother’s son). I recommended them to Derek and he made it happen. Trust me, you will be entertained, they really are amazing :)

First game was in 1967, and have been hooked since day 1. Now live in Vancouver, Canada but follow our team any way I can.
