When did Aaron Smith go out on loan?

Leutele possibly out for the season - should we be rushing into that?

He means Aaron Smith is on loan to Leigh this year. Leutele has played this evening(scored a try and set one up) and in the last Hudds game(was in team of the week).

I hope we give Green another go round next year if the money is right, British props are at a premium currently and he's a decent player. I'd also keep Luis Roberts and Jacob Jones, even if we send them out on loan for most of the year. Both are young and have potential, just need more game time at Championship level. Aaron Smith is out of contract at Saints this year, would hope we put an offer in as he's a great distributor and foil for Ipape's destructive stints. I'd also be looking at Josh Eaves from Newcastle considering their part time switch next year, Eaves did well last year and a 3rd hooker would allow Ipape to switch to halfback or loose forward if we got injuries to Mellor/Lam or Asiata. Tom Nisbet is also out of contract and not being offered a deal by Saints, he would be worth keeping also(thinking squad numbers in the mid 20's) as his attitude around the squad despite barely playing this year has been exemplary and always done a decent job when filling in.

Need a big squad next year of at least 27/28 players, because we won't be able to rely on mid season NRL pick ups if all the quota spots are occupied.

Think there are a few on the poss leaving we need to try to retain. Aaron Smith, would be good to Keep Airkens particularly if he has dispensation for quota. Also maybe Ioane instead of Nakabuwei as Mark is more tried and tested at SL level. Happy with a couple of the rumours. Would keep some of younger players Jacob Jones and Luis Roberts as will need some squad depth as injuries will occur in SL if we make it! fingers crossed.

I’ve heard Sidlow is going to Salford reuniting with Rowley, hope that isn’t true and he re-signs with us. I’d like us to keep as many of this team as possible.

Aaron Smith is one I would be trying to sign aswell

Green, worth another year on the right money.

We have shown this year our strength by battering teams down the middle, Kai O’Donnell has been a big reason for that, if he does go I hope we think long and hard about his replacement, Ipape is at his most dangerous off the back of O’Donnell’s barn storming runs.

We also need a good quality fullback, if we can’t get French I hope we go for someone with out and out pace. Maybe someone like Tee Ritson.

Worst case go again with Inu because the man is quality!!

Nisbett/Robert’s and Jones would be squad players but resigned for me.

How long does a player need to live in the UK to qualify as a resident? Iaone has been here a while and there aren’t much better props out there that punch holes like him.

Sidlow states that he is ready to go another season, he never says who with - https://www.leighjournal.co.uk/news/206 ... enturions/

Aaron Smith out of contract would be a welcome addition, he has been with Leigh for some time now, and may want to stay.

Chris Green, only managed 1 and a bit games, I feel unable to comment either way.

Kai O'Donnell, Leigh's John Bateman would be on the wish list, but if his girlfriend is homesick, not a lot anybody can do to stop him. NRL surely beckons.

Bevan French looks set to go to Newcastle Knights - https://www.loverugbyleague.com/post/rl ... land-role/ . It was audacious of Leigh but never really a goer.

Krisnan Inu - is a legend, but he originally signed with FC Lézignan XIII at the start of the season. This suggests a man winding down his career. Always entertaining to watch but I don't see him wanting another season in Super League.

Mark Ioane - How long does a player need to live in the UK to qualify as a resident? not applicable he still counts as non-fed but he could probably play for England in the World Cup.
