£1.3M

Seems really unprofessional this year, getting drip fed information.
If it was to do with the cap it'd have been announced & done before Chase signed not after. How are we being drip fed information? Players leave, press release issued, what else can the club do? I think it's highly professional. Letting 2 promising young players know they won't be featuring in our 1st team next year so giving them the time to consider what's best for their careers and supporting them in their choice. Think that shows the club goes above and beyond in its professionalism & support for our players, which is a very good thing.

£1.31m
2015 - major missed opportunity, 2016 - stronger teams = harder task (no problem there then), 2017 - OMG What now!!!

The way I read it is that, based on our current income projections, our 'cap' stands at £1.31m. However, should we be fortunate/successful enough to raise our income beyond those projections, we would be able, as 'Tipster' says, to spend up to £1.8m

Spot on Allan,
The cap increase was incorrectly reported. The cap is exactly the same as SL, based off your projected income you have an initial cap.. If you want to go beyond that initial cap up to £1.8m then the owner has to put that missing amount up as a bond..

Yes that's true but as it stands at the moment our projected income only allows us to spend up to £1.31M. Not that it matters anyway, I doubt as the OP suggests the release of Sarsfield & Tracey was for salary cap issues.
