Tommy's interview is just part of what will eventually be a massive project on Leigh Rugby Club. I'm currently in the process of scanning more than a thousand documents, photos, momentoes, newspaper articles and there'll will also be an audio recording of Alex Murphy (as well as anyone else I can drag into this!).
However this all takes time to put together so we decided to post Tommy's interview now. Hope you all enjoy it.

what a pity its going to be on Leigh Life,I will have to forgo' the pleasure then as I am not allowed on to that waste of space by the administrator, Leigh Life is a talking shop for the priveleged few. It reminds me in many ways of how it must have been during the French revolution with a bunch of old Washerwomen gossiping away, pausing only to watch the guillotine come down on the next poor unfortunates head. and then resuming their inane chatter to wait for the next victim so I will have to miss out on this occasion

without wishing to go over old ground I did behave myself I was the victim of a witch hunt by pete, he allows tasteless jokes about Jade Goody, but bans me for having an opinion, he's a sad man but as I say there are ways and means and a-la mr schwartzeneger I shall return in my own good time
