Has Alstead had a run out yet?

If not in my opinion he should not start until he has had one (or start from the bench).

I am a big fan of Alsteads and he would always be one of the first names in my squad however, no-one should come straight back in to the team without first proving fitness at match level. If there are none available and has shown up well in training then a bench spot.

Donlan offers so much more at FB.
Alstead is our best winger at the club.

Afraid I agree with you about Donlan. I'm a big fan of Mort, but would play him on the wing.

Donlan at fullback definately, best fullback in this division. Mort has to be in the team for his goalkicking and is ideally suited to a wing spot.

Alstead is by far our best all round winger but having been out for so long he should be proving his match fitness before being in the starting line-up. Him on the bench should spur the other backs on to keep the jersey their own. Competition for places is healthy and works wonders for team building morale.

Donlan is our best full back and where he is most effective.

Having Mort in the team/17 gives us options and he is our most reliable and effective goal-kicker which can prove to be invaluable.

Higson to play centre throughout the season and cover for injuries/substitutions in the 2nd row.

Is Stanton still injured ? Rourke didn,t look to good when he left the field on Sunday and Higson any news on him ? He went off injured too.
