It would seem the RFL have got it wrong and have egg on their faces,

Toulouse What a joke!!

Salford Again a joke, no wins, no ground(although JW said on the rugby league hour their stadium would be ready for Oct 2010     )

Celtic Actually done the better out of the 3 but sold the lease on their ground to the footy club, are they in finaincual trouble?

All is irrelevant, we are in NL's playing for no promotion and are failing to put bums on seats.
Give me Salfords problems anyday because we are nowhere near meeting criteria, and I fear not getting a franchise next time will see the end of our club in its current format.

Bring on the clowns - them were the days.

It’s to early to tell how Toulouse will go, they’ve got three years to get it right.

Salford would have been promoted under the old system, and so would Celtic if it was just a matter of increasing the size of SL.

I think we have concentrate on us not others, having said that we should pick up on what others do well, ie 5000+ at Widnes on a Thursday night with no away fans.

Just like to agree with this post.We are where we are and whatever we think about the fast tracked teams or Salford,s performances moaning about other clubs doesn,t help us.

Hope we take a good support to Sheffield for Sunday.

Level playing field????????

It would seem to me that Mr Samuels, now he has his hands on the SKY one million is also cashing in by selling the lease (his to sell?). Will he still be around in three years time?

2015 - major missed opportunity, 2016 - stronger teams = harder task (no problem there then), 2017 - OMG What now!!!

Maybe not, but that won't be entirely our own doing will it. Maybe in three years time we can compare the number of clubs who have folded or gone into administration with the three years to date. Victims of the Lewis Crunch

Widnes had in theory one of their biggest games of the season,a so called genuine rival for the next Franchise round, they have appointed a high profile coach and gave away 1000 school tickets which means at least 1000 adults must come along as well.

When we play Fev on TV we must do something similar,we won't get 5000 but a televised crowd of 3000 plus will be good and this should be our minimum target.

I'm sorry but sometimes I think people in Leigh deserve what we get as it really is a town full of moaners, maybe its the years of seeing our Town ripped apart by WMBC or industry being decimated but we have definately become a town of can't doers instead of will doers.

I'm impressed with the clubs stance on developing a team and if fans are too impatient and get a kick out of telling eveyone how bad we are and we are doomed,we probably will end up like this.

I'm sick of reading on here how if we don't do this and that we are going to have no club, tell me something I don't know, most clubs in Rugby League has similar concerns and I'd rather be in Leighs shoes than most of the others.

Rant over but come on get a grip we've not played a league game yet lets look forward to 2/3 years of good competition and stop being obsessed with Franchising and bloody crowd sizes, cost of pie is much more interesting.

Over 50 years of pain, pleasure, frustration, joy, heartache and ecstasy that supporting Leigh has given me but I would not swop it.
