No it's not one defeat, as Leigh well know SM has underacheived with the players he has had for 3 years now. We're not fickle.

And I very much doubt we'd go for Ned, and I doubt he'd leave a secure job at Leigh for a job at Widnes anyway.

Why keep him on after last year, to sack him after one game?

Good question, and one that perhaps only Alex Bonney our Chief Exec can answer.

Neil Kelly would be an obvious choice for first appointment, much loved still in the town and he also still visits (and has spoken to Mr O'connor although i think that was a friendly chat). Just depends what size the compo dished out to Leigh is if we go for him. Other than that ill settle for Ellery Hanley.
