Never, cos they have never had 'em.

probably about the same time they made it illegal to entertain the fans

RU is at least better than watching grass grow, aka Cricket.

True the ref didn,t know all the rules but if thats our best 15 RU players in England I,m a Tulip seller.

We had only 3 what I would call rugby players, and, I,m sure the 1 intelligent commentator, who like all proper rugby fans, gets as annoyed as the rest of us do, must only put up with it cos he,s paid..

Re refereeing the one in the France v Scotland game wouldn,t know a forward pass from his backside. Course the touch judges are not as bad cos like in RL they rarely make a call, unless they are wrong, or when the player with the ball,or just the ball goes into touch.

Well the crowd,of Hurray Henry,s wouldn,t have noticed cos they wouldn,t know a rugby ball from a ping pong one.

Yeh a players game it is. Mediocre from a speccies trained eye.

I find watching international RU very frustrating and disappointing -and I used to play the game for more years than I care to remember. That said, I went to watch Tyldesley, in the last 16 of the EDF Senior Vase - and saw Tyldesley score some of the best tries I had seen for a long time. There is entertainment to be had, in RU - you just have to know where to look!

Manchester RU last season played some excellent stuff, as did Sedgley Park on occasion with Phil Jones at centre of fly-half.

This year there's been a derth of entertainment in that division, but the RU dropped a clanger in much the same way as the Franchise dbacle last year which has made anything but relegation nigh on impossible for both the aforementioned teams.

Having said that, watching Rugby League at any level is preferable to me in truth.

Why are there so many rules in RU that can be so ambiguous. Take todays Wales vs England. England had a player sin binned for going to ground in the ruck and then the Welch did it twice close to there own line with no sin bins. Maybe thats refs for you. But having said that, the RU refs rely more on their fourth ref than we do.

Well I,m not doubting you but what astonishes me is that in the France v Scotland game the first second half try contained 2 obvious forward passes,ie not straight,not borderline, but American Football passes. There was also a blatant obstruction.

The ref in the Wales England game was so inconsistent as to be embarrassing and some of his decisions where incomprehensible bearing in mind previous decisions.

We saw a glaring example of bad refereeing at the Leigh v Fax game last season however the worst video refereeing decision I,ve ever seen was at last seasons NL2 Grand Final featuring Doncaster v Oldham.

On balance however RL refs do a decent job imo.Mind you Kick and Clap has a lot more rules, most of which seem to me just to slow a very slow game down to a snailspace,and no doubt with the intention of giving players a breather and its speccies a chance to read the Financial Times.
