I was told by the stewards that the safety barriers have been made too low all over the place. even at the front of the boxes and the boards in the tunnels are for the football games as you are not allowed to see the pitch with a pint in your hand. FA rules.

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done But he with a chuckle replied That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried. So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin On his face. If he worried he hid it. He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

I would think so, I can see why they are lower on a TV gantry but they should be regulation height with removable pieces at camera positions, IMO they appear to be dangerously low.

Do Leigh still have a stadium safety manager or did he move over to the LSV?

Dont quote me but i think its 3ft 6" or 4ft on scaffold towers. But is probably a bit higher in public places like the LSV. What is funny is the barriers can 11ft but the way they are made they are like climbing frames. And some stupid monkeys would try to get over them whatever height they are

Bit of a strange one that the job was 'split' at the LSV and two people have the job Dave Wolstenhulme who did both at HP is the person responsible for safety re people the stadium 'operational director' does the safety building safety 'bit' they must know about the problem as they have temporarily rectified it in the West stand and the electrics on the gantry and press box are all condemned so one would assume they saw the gantry 'railings', maybe im wrong and they dont count there but id be surprised if that was the case.

You want to be on the 1st row of the top tier at Wembley....... now those barriers are seriously low with a 50ft drop.........
How is education supposed to make me feel smarter? Besides, every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff out of my brain. Remember when I took that home winemaking course, and I forgot how to drive?
