Just watching the DVD Fred .......What I did n`t remember from those glory days was after being tackled on the 6th tackle, the team in possession had the feed at the scrum.... no wonder we didn`t have a kicking game....

I've just watched the Leeds John Player cup semi, 1984 I think.......we battered them and lost it in the last 5, 18-11.

Bob and Kevin Beardmore were certainly playing for Cas in 1981/82 though:

Kevin made 10 apps (6 tries, 18 points)
Bob made 37 apps (13 tries, 11 goals, 1 DG, 62 pts)

In that cup game Bob Beardmore scored one of the Cas tries with the other coming from Gary Hyde who also booted a goal.

The reason I said Gary Hughes is that he came through at the same as Johnny Westhead and Darren Beazant.........Although it could ve been Gary Ainsworth.
