The que was massive and i didn't get in the ground until 15.15 missing 3 tries & i paid £16. So do prices go up the closer it gets to kick off?
If thats the casei f i get a ticket mid week will it be cheaper? Me thinks not!
It's £16 to sit in the West, £14 to stand with the ruffians in the North, I believe.
I think the NRC is definitely better off for the re-organised group stages, but I think the damage might have already been done with dead rubber games of previous years.
The more crowds we get at this stage of the season below the break even figure, the tighter the margins will become - 1,000+ down today will mean having to attract 1,000+ more people to another game, just to even out.

i think the haven game will be a yardstick, we have had some great encounters with them in recent times and if we cant manage 3000 then i too fear for our future. remember we cant even sell 1000 season tickets.
the debate, actions and solutions need to start soon. i share leighonardos concerns
No one is doubting the concerns but being bothered about a 'nothing' games atendance AFTER the event has happened is like being bothered about last weeks snow, very nice but pointless as theres nothing that can be done about it now, the trouble with a lot on here is that they are bothered about yesterday and not about tomorrow, learn digest and move forward, whats gone has gone, too many 'shudders' and not enough 'movers', (not (unfortunately) that anyone on here can influence things at all).
As for season ticket sales I'm sorry but historically Leigh people have never bought them in great quantity, even sales after 81/82 were less than 1000 (as relayed to me by a board member at that time).
Unfortunately The NR cup has never captured the attention of the RL public many just seeing it as an exended pre-season, an attitude that I for one don't share as for one winning it gets you 'in the pot' for promotion at the next licence farce (you can have 4K at every game but winning 'nowt' gets you 'nowt').
Please do not send me any PM's I dont check this board often enough to be able to answer them, use my e mail add please fjparkinson@virginmedia.com
All posts on this message board by me are mine I am NOT a representative in any way shape or form of ANY Rugby League club.
we have had nothing games before but still had a lot more than 1375.
perhaps i am disappointed because i thought the new stadium would bring back a lot of lost fans.
early doors i know but the initial signs are not encouraging.
still say we got season ticket policy wrong, the offer was simply not attractive , we have not sold the team and stadium in any shape or form.
that is the job of the club not the fans.
i am a supporter and that is what i do. i buy my season ticket, my shirt , my half time draws and my lifeline.
what do people think we would have sold(season tickets) if we had dropped them to £100.

Are you sure about that, I thought it was the GF appearances that counted and not the Northern Rail cup final appearances
2015 - major missed opportunity, 2016 - stronger teams = harder task (no problem there then), 2017 - OMG What now!!!

I actually thought of going to look for the criteria, but then I remembered criteria and the RFL means its more likely to be in (the) Dicks head than on paper somewhere.

You're right, it's a win in the Northern Rail Cup or an appearance in the Grand Final that counts towards the licence application.
Serious sport has nothing to do with fair play. It is bound up with hatred, jealousy, boastfulness, disregard of all rules and sadistic pleasure in witnessing violence. In other words, it is war minus the shooting. George Orwell

Well I think 3000 for an NRC game which is hardly a must win situation is sadly optomistic bearing in mind the number of Haven fans likely to travel.
Yesterday was never going to get the less committed to go. When we reach the knock out stages and the league games will be a better indication of our potential regarding attendances.
I,d go if it was £20 a game but I know not everyone would and quite frankly I thought season tickets were very reasonably priced given the facilities we now have. But I also know that some fans think it preferable to pay on a game basis. Up to them of course.
Yesterday our team played rugby which entertained. Long may it continue and to be frank we haven,t had many matches were we have been entertained since Turk left. Its not just the opposition sometimes its about getting a reputation for being an enjoyable money well spent couple of hours.
And that I am optomistic about given our current set up. Just hope todays news from Widnes doesn,t upset the applecart.

if season tickets were reasonably priced we would have sold more.
