Obviously lots of questions on how we stay under the SC. Well here's an interesting little snippet I have just read. One way of staying under the cap with Patterson, Hanson and Maturation already signed and Chase hopefully to follow, would be to loan some of our players out to SL clubs and then recall them for the 8's. ......really???

Well that's definitely not how the cap works in relation to loans so I hope that's not Leigh's plan.

A loan is treated as a permanent move in terms of the SC. As soon as a loan occurs, the whole cap value of the player is transferred to the team loaning the player (regardless of whose paying the wages) and then when they return the whole of the cap value returns to the original team. This is part of the "live cap" setup we have. The only way to keep them on the books through loaning is to loan them for the year.

Or indeed that Leigh have signed Chase.

I thought it was common knowledge he has agreed terms with Leeds and will be loaned back to Leigh next season now? Leeds not announcing the deal until May next year just like Warrington did with Clark.
