| Looking forward to it.
Nothing to lose as everyone will expect a big Wakefield win.
It'll will make a change going to a SL ground and one we havn't visited too frequently over the last 20 years.
Just hope its sunny/ dry all day and we have a similar result to that we had when Simms was in charge and we went there as major underdogs

| My last visit to Belle Vue was 1980, a midweek game that finnished 14-14
don't know if I can raise interest for this tie though just getting used to the LSV then we get this, arguably the worst ground in Super League, it will remind us though of just what we are missing

Would have preferred to have had them at home but it's a great chance for us to test ourselves against a Super League club. Let's do our utmost to take as big a following as possible and really get behind the lads - with a big support behind them, you never know...

Ditto.. I was quite disappointed with the draw initially but there is no reason why we can not have an enjoyable day and I look forward to it. I just hope we can take a sizeable following. I'm going to look into a 16 seater for our lot. Don't think many would be willing to risk not attending and missing Leigh knock out a SL team (however small that may be )

I really shouldn't bite as you are clearly a being silly, but I will...
Away from home = Correct
No glamour = considering the teams you play week in week out the chance to visit a club that averages 7,500 a game would seem glamorous.
Totally crap ground = Agreed but then you would know having recently vacated one, cut the snobbery.
It's in Yorkshire = Correct
Drab coach and dull team = Don't be so stupid, average 5 tries a game with the likes of Drew, Brough and Latu - come off it.
They are playing well = No we are paying OK, the best is yet to come.
Little chance of a Leigh upset = That's for you to decide
No cash to be made = If you travel well then a a crowd of 8k is on the cards which is better than any NL1 team and the likes of Quins, Catalan, Celtic and Salford would give you.
Totally crap draw = Not Leeds perhaps but not exactly crap.
There, it's not all bad

| Would have liked a home draw against a decent Championship side, and then Wakey at home.
Shame Mr Moore wont get to play against us but it adds spice that Ollie, Grix and Bibey probably will. Im looking forward to it now.
Lets see how many coaches LISA can fill.

Vastman - I want the winners of this tie to go on and win at Wembley!
Seriously, I have a lot of respect for Kear and what he has done at Wakefield in relatively difficult conditions. I said somewhere previous that you guys are my adopted SL for this season and hope you do well - but not in this match
Okay your ground is a shed (as was ours 12 months ago), but I do hope you have some serious plans in place over the next 2 years regarding your ground or else all the efforts you put in this and the next couple of seasons I feel will be wasted.

| Quote WOLRAB="WOLRAB"i take your point on the draws we've had, but excuse me, i disagree with you about the ground, wakey have had over ten years of sl money, and are no nearer havng a decent ground, we've had one year in sl and have a brand new stadium.'"
What a ridiculous statement. So you managed a new ground and I'm p[leased for you but that has nothing to do with Leigh or Wakey being in or out of SL. No one other than Leeds has actually developed their ground due to being in SL, look at Saints and Bradford in particular. You were fortunate to have a good Council and find a good deal, I really wish we could find the same.
As for us being no nearer a ground, how do you know? I think you will find we are but until everything is signed, sealed and delivered I don't think Ted will be ringing you.
The reason we are in SL is because we know how to put together a RL team on a very tight budget.
For us to move on we need a new stadium we know that and we are working on it but the sort of stadium we need don't come easy - fact. It's as much luck as anything else why most clubs have new stadia. Most in fact only have it due to them being partnered with a football club, ie Wigan, Hudds ans Hull for starters.
I like Leigh and I don't like franchise. Please don't make me dislike Leigh by taking up this we have a stadium so we have a right to SL crap. Don't end up like bitter low rent versions of Hudds fans, you're better than that.
Trinity are in SL because they keep winning on the only place it should matter - the pitch. If Leigh had of done that they would be in SL now. Sadly they are not but that's not the fault of Trinity or Belle Vue is it
Also please note: Trinity were one point off a garde B licence, BV is no oill painting but it does the basics. You can have a drink, a pie, a pee and watch a game - exactly what else do you really need? Obviously the franchise panel felt we didn't need anything else.

Agree with all the above mate..........Leigh are heading in the right direction now - new stadium, chairman and coach etc.......the days of overspending and signing old has beens are behind us at last.
We have the right people in charge now who are steering us in the right direction - both on and off the field. No more over the hill players.....we are signing top up and coming players who are also local lads that will play with pride and passion for the club - its showing every week and its getting stronger.
As for Wakey......fair enough they have a poor ground BUT we are lucky enough to have a council who have provided us with a great stadium....Wakey dont have this luxury ( feel sorry for them on that front). Wakey have shown most clubs what you can acheive on the field on a small budget but with a top coach (they should be applauded on this).
This is the type of club that SL should want in their division, they also have brought in players from the lower divisions and given them a shot at SL and they are proving good signings for them.
Well done Wakey and good luck in getting a new ground cos you guys deserve one.

Thanks,
As I say I'm a big fan of the lower leagues and have always believed that all clubs deserve an unhindered route to the top flight. I genuinly hope that the likes of Leigh and Widnes and anyone else are never marginalised.
The worst thing that could happen to RL is if the SL becomes an old boys club where a block of toilets is of more value than a team playing good Rugby. I hope to see Leigh and Widnes etc in SL one day but based mainly on what they do on the pitch. With a history like yours for producing young players I can't see why that shouldn't happen.
