He had youth on his side and clocked up quite a few SL minutes of action behind him.
However his development, down in the Championship has not progressed to the level that I had anticipated at this stage, over 12 months since signing him, despite still being young.
A result that makes it even less likely that we'll make the top 4, essentially handing Featherstone an extra point because we're not going to overturn their points difference. Wins for London and Toulouse today will effectively end our chances.
Didn't go to the game today, but can hazard a guess at what happened. Take a lead, then switch off, in exactly the same way as we did Halifax at home, Featherstone away and countless other matches where we've let a team back into a a game that we've been in control of, which is why our points difference is so far behind London, Toulouse and Fev. Not sure why they keep doing it, something rotten at the core of their attitude sadly.
I'd also take a guess that we had at least three sets that we ended by being tackled on the last near their line, without any thought of forcing a repeat set, or even putting any pressure on them at all. Hutchison was a gamble that has ultimately failed, despite the promise that he's shown at times.
We don’t make Top 4 I honestly think DB will pull the plug he nearly pulled it half way through season so no Top 4 he will most certainly walk just like 2005. We should of been putting 50-60 with very little reply yesterday it’s not good enough think we left to much to do hope I’m wrong I really do

The priority is 32 points! Two to go. Don’t worry about us, that’s in the bag.

Monty I said a few weeks ago I didn't think we would make the Top 4,I stand by my forecast, however I personally DON'T think Derek will walk if we don't make it, this Club of ours has to many positives going for it.
We have a great ground and facilities, and most important the BEST bunch of Supporters in this League and some in SL,who would walk to away games on hot coals to see the Centurions, Derek knows this and I think this spurs him on to give the Fans the success they deserve.Wherever we finish at the end of the year wouldn't alter my views on supporting the Club,we all know mistakes have been made on the Coaching side, and signing of players, but like life running a RL CLUB is a gamble.
I'm sure the majority of Leythers won't give up , I know I won't.

We don't seem to be able to cope defensively, against a side that spreads the ball wide - something that Rochdale did/were allowed to do with great skill and desire. Many of our players seem to struggle in the heat (Hansen and a couple more excepted) and are really struggling. The debate about Hutchison is an interesting one. He had a good, creative spell, in the middle of the season, but once again seems to be struggling. Often Reynolds has, to an extent, compensated for that, but he too struggled yesterday. All we can do now is win the two remaining games and hope! With London, Featherstone and Toulouse all leading comfortably at half time (and 'nilling' their opponents) our points difference is going to look worse by the end of today.
Still, there's plenty of rugby to go yet, so fingers crossed!
