I've been on site this morning and the boss says that they are just waiting for the scientist to come this afternoon to give the all clear that all the asbestos has gone. If the scientist gives the all clear then the stand will be coming down in the morning - he's told me to be there for 10.30am.

(He also said that if I call back later on today, hell be able to tell me for definite but I'm not sure I've got the time to go back.)

might jus pop down as im in the area in the morning, went past today and its looking really really sad now (coul;d have done with some of that cladding off the stand though for my shed ) will be glad now when'the old girl' is flattened and gone.

Just been told its nearly gone

My brother in law took a photo of the TS stand last year (when the ground was empty) and as a chrissy present for me he had it printed on canvas and mounted on a 36" x 12" frame. Its not the most attractive picture in the world but has pride and place in my office, and that's how I'll remember the old stand....old & knackered but defiant to the end.

Yes it all gone! They struggled a bit but they got her in the end. I've posted pics elsewhere and if I get time I'll put some on here.

They're just starting, they are ripping into her roof to try to get to the stanchions to drag her down.
