"There are a number of high-profile PNG players in Super League at present – many of whom represented the country at the recent Pacific Championships.
The headliners include Leigh Leopards duo Edwin Ipape and Lachlan Lam. Both of those players are off-contract at the end of this season but the new PNG franchise could potentially leave the door further ajar for the duo to sign new deals at Leigh, if they then go on to sign for the new club for the 2028 season."
Another two seasons with Edwin and Lockie would be great - there is a downside in that Lammy snr may also be targeted for the role of Head Coach. Lammy will have seen out his 5 year plan and be looking for a new challenge.

For those of us who remember the pain of the non-existent half back creativity in the performances against both Wigan and Hull KR at the end of last season - both were nillings - it surely has to be a quality half back signing that we need - preferably one who can also kick goals.
Rovers fan here, I'm looking forward to seeing Armstrong the young Aussie fullback from Newcastle. I watched him on Sky's NRL coverage last season and he's definitely one to watch, very very fast and follows half breaks perfectly. I think you've got a good one with him.
