Watene was sent off for a nudge on an off-balance Broadbent that sent him in to the reinforced concrete wall at one end, so I think Leahy felt he had to send him off because of the injury - I expect him to get sending off sufficient although the question is will the disciplinary only meet after the final as would normally be the case?
Disciplinary will be Tuesday week for championship players. Only SL players are dealt with on the Tuesday immediately following the game.
