What other match day additions Matt? Ale? Food? It isn't compulsory I didn't/don't drink before or after a game as I couldn't afford it I just payed to watch the game if I was hungry I waited until I got home, I don't drink because I can't afford it, yes I know £15/£16 is a lot of money and is too expensive but ask the players to play for 50% (and I wouldn't think of doing as they are putting bodies on the line) and see what they say - even though in today's climate they may have to, but clubs can't make ends meet now on admission prices alone and relying on a big money backer is just false economy as we have found out, and I have no answer either. It's an emotive subject but just to think that lowering prices will bring them flocking back is not the answer.

The thing is Fred we need to attract people to watch Leigh rather than any other sporting commodity. Why should floating supporters pay £15 to watch second grade RL when they could watch SL for around the same price within 10 miles. What are Leigh Centurions doing to attract that floating vote. Don't forget that not all people who live in Leigh are Leythers and don't have that town loyalty. We can't stand still and rely on the old reliables because those old reliables are getting fewer and fewer.

They are not doing much Dave but what can they do marketing takes money - they have none and what little they can they do - short of dragging folk in off the streets, but lowering prices would mean us not making it past (if we get there so the current predicament should ring some bells re money) June next year and that wouldn't only be us but 90% of Rugby Clubs, now if anyone has any plans how that could be done I'm sure not only Trevor Barton would like to know them but the CEO's of every club in the country, but unless they pay players less (as they can't cut other staffing costs down as they only have one full time staff member who's not on the playing side of things) it's £15/£16 there's no getting away from that.

Once again , we need to ' grow ' our own
Kids dont have the same mentality as adults , they dont understand that we once mixed it with the big boys of RL , just as many young football fans would not understand certain Championship and FL clubs once being top dogs in our ' premier ' league , FA cup and even Champions of Europe
They also dont really recognise the difference between Leigh playing Leeds , and playing [ no disrespect intended ] Batley
All they want is to have a good time , give them that good time and they might well start to build an affiliation with the club and the sport , the affiliation with the sport may well eventually take them in a different direction [ SL club ] , but hopefully enough would build an affiliation with the club to become ' Leythers ' , this is our only option
The hard part is getting them ' IN ' in the 1 st place , but it doesn't have to cost much if any money if done correctly , it just needs a little thought , a little help , and most importantly the ' Will ' to make it happen

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done But he with a chuckle replied That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried. So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin On his face. If he worried he hid it. He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

Community. Community. Community. Did I mention that kids should be free free free free. Get them involved in half time games, activities and days at the stadium before kick off. You don't need a rebrand; the centurions name and colours is actually quiote a good one

As an outsider it doesn't seem as though the facility that is available - the stadium - is fully utilised. There are now a number of stadia/clubs who engage with their public in similar ways

Kids are free most games in the Championship , the problem is if we let the adults in for free as well , up to this point we would have had to pay the stadium 10 % of their ticket price , so it would have cost us money
And yes the community dept is the ' key ' , thats if we still have one in a few weeks time

Been doing these things for years , both at Hilton Park and the LSV , we have had a ' classroom ' at the stadium with computers , interactive screens , all sorts of stuff
However the club has always stopped short of giving out full family tickets , that time has finally arrived , I hope
