King = unsure no way will he be offered anything like the money he is already on so may leave anyway.
Musgrove =no
Powell =unsure. Forber is out of contract at Wigan would be interested in him.
Ratchford =no
Tai= no
Vaughan = unsure
Wrench = unsure he as had bad luck with injury but even when fit I have been concerned with him defensively.

I want to give Wrench a chance. He hasn't had a long enough run in the first team to iron out his defensive positioning, IMO. Attacking-wise, he's box office stuff. Not just his speed and footwork but his ability to put a winger away too.

Fair opinion, the only reason I gone unsure is his defensive side but can’t argue with him in attack. Can we just have him and Tai combined :D

Crowther: Would have no issues with him staying, but as he is not first choice 17, I wouldn't want him blocking the way of a youth product should one emerge who looks the part. Green? Whitehead? Not sure on either of them yet mind.

King: I'd be ok with him staying, on a much reduced contract. Hoping that he will be shifted to the right and Lindop can be first choice on teh left. But if an opportunity arises to bring in better, we should be looking at it.

Musgrove: Can go for me - first couple of months of next year will be important for him. Dependable enough but not having a big enough impact for me - could you better with teh quota spot and salary cap I think.

Powell: Unless there is a younger option available he'd be great for another couple of years I think. His game isn't based around speed, so he'll be playing for a couple of years yet I think, even though he's 32.

Ratchford, 37 next year, be amazed to see him play to 38. Time for others to take his place in the Squad (Wrench)

Tai: Solid defensively but doesn't offer enough threat going forward. I'd be looking to move him on.

Vaughan: Big couple of months, think the club has made a wise choice not renewing yet. His stats were down last year, he needs to show he can get back up to previous standards if he's staying. (I know what your opinion is Duckie!)

Wrench: Keep, good cover and needs some game time, fallen behind Lindop in the pecking order though.

Just been told Burgess has said not expecting much next season as it’s a rebuild year. Now if that’s true I’m annoyed. Does that mean some of the signings made this season are just stop gap signings and with the 8 off contract end of next season plans are made for 2026 and it’s just a case of oh well let’s just see how we do in 25.

Seems to be a few teams in that position. Saints came out shouting about spending the cap and all the marquee allowances when we dropped to 6th. Instead we've let 4 go and signed 3, only have one centre, no scrumhalf and are at least a prop light. It's as if clubs don't think they can challenge Wigan's dominance next season, so are building for 2026 instead.

Surely he would not write off 33% of his time with us? This doesn't sound like Sam Burgess. Admittedly I am not expecting much then again this is my defence mechanism.

If it was my decision, and I am sure we are all glad it's not...

Jordan Crowther - 2 year extension
Sam Powell - 1 year extension
Connor Wrench - 2 years and he need to break through in that time. Last chance.
Paul Vaughan - 1 year extension, no titty lip or thanks and good luck.
Toby King - 2 year max, lower wages or thanks and good luck. For me he can do one as I prefer pacey centres that can create opportunities.

Rodrick Tai - thanks for the memories, we can improve on this position.
Zane Musgrove - thanks and good luck. Nowhere near worth an overseas quota spot.
Stefan Ratchford - thanks and good luck coaching.

Must admit, it had passed me by (or I had forgotten) that they had changed the rule so that players were free to negotiate with clubs from 1st December. It was May 1st previously.

This could well bring forward players moving on earlier - similar to Yates this year.

Before getting too worked up, how close a friend of SB is your source?

Just my opinions unless it's a FACT, in which case it's a fact.
