Doug did great things for Wire, including using his influence in helping to obtain planning permission for the Halliwell Jones stadium.

R.IP. Doug, Once a Wire Always A Wire.

Really sad news. Doug was a lovely man who cared passionately about the town and the club. A great MP for Warrington, club chairman and a true Wire.
RIP Doug and thank you for everything.
