Its all been said on numerous topics .
No Wonder we cant bring anyone in , the way we treated Latu , Margoulias , McGuire (albeit his own fault).
We let our Second best Player go to Saints.
We have Dudson.
We just seem like a rudderless ship , Gone are the days when we could bring in a Joel Monaghan mid season.

Sorry Daryl but letting Clarke go is the final straw for me.

I agree that our recruitment has been largely shocking for a few years but I think we have a good replacement in Walker and Clarke's money will give us the chance of filling gaps elsewhere. Also do we really want a player who would rather be somewhere else.
He has been off form for most of this season, only picking up recently. Having said that, I expect him to kick start his form at Saints.

If we had let a young, current international hooker go to Saints whilst retaining a 30-plus Clark for 3 years, what would have been the reaction on here during the next few seasons? It's always sad to see a top player go, but Saints need him more than we do in the future.

Just to counter some points above

1. We could keep both.
2. We have many players currently older now than Clark would be in 2026.
3. If we need to create cap space we could have avoided signing turkeys like Dudson.

Maybe a sad year for you but we nearly had the saddest year ever last year & we did start the season off like a train. Cheer up ... if you can but I suppose if you like a good moan you've come to the right place.
Looking at other club's forums it seems no one is happy (at the moment) apart from HKR & Leigh. It's a rugby league thing.

Ive been watching for a Long time , I endured the 95 season and the 2002 season and at the end of both of them at least I was looking forward to the season after. This year Im just feeling deflated by the whole thing . I guess it really is the hope that kills you.

Just on this point what did we allegedly do wrong with Latu, Magoulias and McGuire?

Clark will have been wanting 60 mins as first choice 9, Walker will have been wanting the same. Clark will be on very good money, Walker will want guarantees of first team minutes and a contract that reflects that. The likelihood is that Clark again would be spending time next year flitting between 9 & 13, very difficult to keep both parties happy.

The 3rd year at Saints will be a risk I think, he’s shown signs throughout his career of wear & tear at various points and I just get the impression that things are going to catch up with him.

Good move for Saints, think he will do well with quick ruck speed from Walmsley, Makinson, Percival and Paasi, as long as those nasty Leigh players steer clear.

Good move for Clark in that it gives him a length of contract that suits him at this point in his career and a genuine chance of winning a grand final.

For us, we have put faith in a younger player in Walker that he is the future of the club . Time will tell if that’s the right decision but we’re putting our faith in youth - that’s what we want right?

It'll be a sadder year if we lose to Wakey and he keeps his job.

If he wins, I'm fine with him keeping it and seeing if we can't not do something at the back end of this season. the injuries and being "fractions off" could be a real factor so we'll hopefully kick on from there.

Lose and it's really an indication that it's not working. It's not a case of down to this game per se, it's the build up and performances to this game, the reason's given for lack of performance. He hasn't even got a "toxic" crowd to blame in the event we bottle it.

I hope to god we win
