Wire have announced a new partner joining with Rochdale, very similar to the Crusaders link up with Dual Reg and training facilities etc being made open to them with their young players being available for our reserves.

The only difference I can see is possibly the club view Rochdale a better catchment area.

Hasn't Allan Kilshaw just been announced as head coach at Rochdale? Former wire community's development role so maybe that had something do with the link up.

Yeah you're right I read Kilshaw is now the Rochdale coach and about his Warrington link he also has some coaching experience while down under, not sure at what level, good to see Rochdale giving him a chance.

I can now see a link but was wondering if Rochdale was a better option regarding playing facilities do they still play at Spotland Stadium? travel for DR and Rochdale players could be easier, we will get to assess their young players if they turn out for Wire reserve team, hopefully the club get this right as there must be a lot of talent around that area, maybe another Hill or Walmsley.

I wonder what Crusaders think and what they got out of last years tie up?
I also wonder what Rochdale think they'll get out of the link with us.

I can see the benefit for Wire but not so much for the lower league club.

They get access to fantastic training facilities including indoor and outdoor pitches, gym, and media room. They can use our medical and performance departments.

Rochdale players can play for our reserves, which will help with their development. The players will hopefully improve helping Rochdale's 1st team, and even help players push for SL or Championship level.

With player welfare I'm sure Rochdale players will receive help, including with education and training opportunities.

Roger Draper has also mentioned helping Rochdale with commercial, marketing, foundation and stadium management.
