Warrington are competing with St.Helens to be named as the third European side to play in a 3 match world club challenge in February next year.
The 3 NRL teams who are set to compete are the Cowboys, Broncos and Roosters.
Warrington could play The Sydney Roosters on the friday evening.

Why are we being considered ??

We are the Wire we can do what we like.

Quite right that we are competing, but, surely what isn't quite right is that there is a competition beyond how you fared in the league and the CC as a method for selecting places?

I enjoyed our game v St George, but if this series is to grow and I hope that it does, it has to be taken seriously and for that to happen it needs to be a reward for your season's performance not a raffle or a beauty contest.

It is/was a reward from next season onwards, however one of the reward winners is reportedly turning down the opportunity(again) to do so.


People may say it would be a mockery if we were involved, but isn't the bigger mockery that for the second year in a row, the preferred team looks like they're turning down the opportunity to participate?

Whether it be WCC, challenge cup semi-finals, championship finals days, World Cup qualifiers, NZ V Austraila Warrington has consistently showed it can facilitate the RFLs required. MAYBE the RFL simply decided to repay a bit ?

So that would make the 3 team competition between

Leeds
Wigan
Saints

in Huddersfield absence.

Surely Wire would only be involved if Saints and Cas turned it down also?
