scored by our players.....

Sounds like some good form from Currie and 5 in 5 games for Penny now.

Also Ryan Shaw scored 2 for Barrow in the same game

Was going to ask if it was the same Shaw. Good to see these players doing well just shows the difference in class between leagues.

Are the highlights available on the Web anywhere?

Best news of all is Paul Wood being back on the pitch.

Vaguely depressing to see Rhys Evans and Dwyer turning out for them, giving their all and still outside the sweet shop window looking in though.

I couldn't agree more about Rhys Evans and Dwyer, they should surely have figured more for us this season? Any chance of a surprise inclusion for Dwyer given his Huddersfield experience, probably not?

Also interesting to read Swinton fans' views on Penny who has scored 5 in 5 this season. Clearly the standard of play/opposition is completely different but they have seen a lot of Ormsby & Penny and can't believe Penny isn't getting a shout with us at the moment.

They also refer to Dwyer as 'Tumble'. :D

As you say - a big difference between Championship and SL standard.
I think Penny could get one or maybe two chances at the most to prove he's SL standard this year.
Given Rhys is having trouble getting in, Penny must be a long shot.

I really hope the lad is given a chance though as his speed is great to see. It's his defence that'll be the issue.
I'm not sure how quick Ormsby is, and certainly Joel isn't quick but they are strong by virtue of their size.
If that's what TS wants then Penny (and C.Riley) won't figure.

If four tries against London for Rhys Evans isn't enough to earn a run in the first team, Penny hasn't got any chance regardless of how many he scores at Swinton.

Personally, I think we look very pedestrian - I'd suggest only Russell and Atkins have genuine strike pace, and in the case of Atkins he'll only get the chance to show it from a clear run since he hasn't broken a tackle since 1963.

Ormsby looks powerful rather than pacy, Joel has always relied on athleticism rather than speed, Bridge is gone and Atkins still has the pace but lacks the menace.
