Well played those men! It's always hard to tell what the game was like from the radio but it sounded like a tough first half, which gave us the test we needed, then we remembered how Wire are meant to play in the second.

Mickey Higham and the radio Merseyside commentator were singing the praises of Rhys Evans, so sounds like he's moved on from last season.

More of the same for the rest of the season boys!

Sounded like we scored some absolute corkers today. Due to an injury, I couldn't go so looking forward to Super League Full Time tonight.

Ratchford looked good at fb. Solid under the high ball, positioning was good, and dangerous returning the ball.

Couldn't go the game but was listening to GMR commentary and it stopped due to a technical fault at half time and thought I'd
listen to London Radio to hear another point of view. Second half sounded great and the commentators,( although describing
things from the London point of view moreso,) were full of praise for the way Wire kept the ball alive. From the commentary
it sounded like Atkins played well and Briers delivered some magic player missing passes. Ratchford came up for compliment
for his catching and Westwood was payed a number of compliment for endevour. Come on Wire and a big game next weekend.

That one where we scored off the tap from the 20 was mint. Ratchford in the second half with Evans involved too.

Just spoke to me Dad who was at the game, sounds like Evans was excellent, as was Ratchford, while Atkins was good, if not stand out in the backs, ran well and put in a strong performance. Monas was quiet but, amazingly, it sounds like we've got players who can actually fill in the hooker role now, which was one of our greatest weaknesses last season. While we're still rusty it looks like an improvement on last week and if we carry that on, we're on a good trajectory.

Solid perormance today and some stand out performances as already mentioned, Evans, Bridge, Atkins and Ratchford. Some of the final passes leading to the tries were class. I thought Briers had to play well today and was always probing the London defence and came out with a couple. Westwood again was immence, some good touchline conversions but the amount of work in defence the guy gets through.

A bit of a negaitive from the style of Londons play, IMO they were here to spoil our game play, slowing the ptb and how long does their kicker need for conversions and restarts, must have wasted 10 minutes alone. I suppose after the drubbings we have handed to them in the past few games they didn't want a repeat, so tried slowing us down.

Ratchford was mom by a country mile, so easy on the ball, he's a joy to watch. Personally, I'd move him to hb alongside Briers.

Can't fault London, stuck to a game-plan, unfortunately for them, they came up against a team who wanted to throw the ball about. Against similar opp, they will hold their own. felt they had a couple of decisions go against them, thought 2nd try come off a forward pass, but thats how it goes. They deserved more points on the board.

Had high hopes that London would be an improved side from last season - but hey ho!
Spoiling tactics were tolerated too long by ref(?) and high tackles should have punished earlier.
But some super tries today, the stand outs for me being the Ratchford try, the try from the 20m tap and the Bridge try after the catch and pass by Joel.
Good efforts all round. Michael Monaghan might have been quiet in attack, but his tackling stint was immense.
