Any (none sarcastic) ideas?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks, MF

So no day coach then?

It's been fun.

Sorry couldn't resist.

As there is no day coach, you could walk

Ok that didn't work, put in Warrington and perpignan, and select walk.

Thanks, MF

I drove last year and made a full holiday of it. We were already in Soissons in the North for a few weeks (which is 165 miles from Calais), so we drove to Lyon and had a night there, we then had 2 night stays in Nice and Montpellier, before another 2 nights in Perpignan and 1 in Carcassonne. The quickest way to travel is the A roads, but be aware that they are almost all toll roads. At a guess I'd say you wouldn't be too far off 1000 miles each way from Warrington if you drove straight there. There are plenty of websites for decent fairly cheap Hotels. We were at Hotel Kennedy, about 10 minutes walk from the centre of Perpignan.

The cheapest is to fly to Girona in Spain on Ryanair and get the Catalan Sports tours coach to Perpignan, its about 1hr 15mins from Airport to Perpignan.

Alternatively easyjet to Barcelona and then get the train to perpignan, which again isnt expensive.

We did it this way this year, Girona out and back via Barcelona. :D

I really can't be arsed to read the AUP

How about a tour of Ryanair/Easyjet's most beautiful destinations? Liverpool-Krakow, Krakow-Bucharest etc. until you eventually reach Barcelona...

I drove down last year and had a couple of nights in Paris on the way down. Only £66 for the ferry from Dover to Calais but what I saved on the ferry I spent on a round of drinks in Paris. Drove down to the south West for a week. Stayed on a campsite in one of the Thompson al fresco glorified caravan then drove to Perpignan and stayed in a hotel to take in the game. Shocked At how quiet Perpignan was compared to the previous years but figured everybody was staying over the border when I spotted the convoy of coaches ferrying the wire fans in.
Drove the return journey back to Warrington in one go with just 3 stops for fuel and spent the following 3 days in a zombie like state as I recovered from the drive. I would drive again but I don't think the missus fancies being stuck in a car for 17 hours again.

I'm only 16, and my dad isn't too keen on driving down. I think Liverpool-Gerona and then bus/hirecar is the option we're looking at.
Any hotel recommendations from any of you lovely people?
