Any one think it would be a good idea to have a charity shield in rugby for cc winners v the grand final winners ( or runners up if cc n gf same team)

I understand that we have the world club challenge and we play lots of games already but would be something at the start of season to start the season off with a bang for who ever the 2 teams competing are

First time in 19 years anyone in Warrington has ever raised this issue. I don't think there would be any point. Having the WCC as a 4 team tournament instead of 2 (CC & SL winners plus NRL grand finalists) is another option, but I don't see the point of a Charity Shield. It's like a Grand Final but in reverse with no one properly prepared. I don't see how anyone would be interested in it.

this is something i fail to grasp, as a supporter i want as much rugby to watch as possible, i can understand players complaining about too many games, but fans...why?
