The board-FACT

Dont matter which players get sacked or which "world class" (sic) manager gets brought in,this lot will always be a mickey mouse oufit

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but to sit on a board of any sort of organisation, you'd have to know something about that particular field.

Hense the question;
"What are Broomhead and Hoyle doing on there?"

Its a clique.Everyone knows, but everyone is too scared to say.

Cas are in town on monday and anyone who makes a living out of rl betting, especially Warrington games will know which way to bet.

Place the bet, then phone in sick on tuesday and count your winnings.

I have to say that Smith's only been here 4 weeks and I think he's what's needed.

I don't disagree with your points about the higher-ups in the club and by luck/circumstance (and not judgement) they have at least put the right man in the right job and just have to let him get on with it and take his glory when it comes. In the meantime they can focus on sorting out the crock that is the general commercial offering of the club and deal with the smaller crowds we will be getting for the rest of the season. Things will get better I'm sure.

2010 - the year of the Wolf!!!!!

Worrying times for the club.....Big tax bill on the table, and the promise of diminishing crowds, as a bottom 4 finish awaits.

Oh, what a balls up the club has made of such a promising situation they were in not so long ago, both on and off the field.... :(

How can I miss you, if you won't go away????

More the case that the problem is stupid fans who expect a new manager to turn it round in a couple of weeks .
Got news for you son it won't happen T.S has not brought any of his own players in yet and may not be able to bring anyone in until next season so do not expect anything from this season, the dynamics of our team/squad is wrong and cannot be rectified over night .
This is the 1st time I can remember our board making the right decision in regards to the manager and backing him 100% so I as a fan will support them as long as they make the right decisions with our on field side of the business ,the off field side has not been a problem so give them a break !
I think this thing with the tax man will be solved and I wish people would stop speculating about things they know nothing about. at the end of the day we will not be the only club under investigation ALL clubs will be under investigation and it will all be resolved in the end and we will still be in business at the end and still in SL so no problem imo !

I firmly believe its the boards fault for where we are at the moment. Cullen was kept too long but I accept that they went for Smith before the WC, and now at last we have the right man.

The board have evidently taken steps to move us forward(Smith, Bastian, Wright) but unfortunately it was after the horse had bolted. The future is looking better but were going to have to knuckle down as supporters and accept its going to be a long hard slog to turn us into real contenders. Those thinking 2010 are simply deluded.

We are like ahouse that has been built on sand and I honestly believe that.

Removing board members would do nothing but to pay lip service to certain sections of the fans.

In the short to medium term get used to days like this. Remember them when were where we want to be.

A very good post.....I said a couple of weeks ago that Tony Smith's 2 and a half year deal would not be long enough to sort out the mess we are in.

There is a LOT of dead wood hanging around the club, and it certainly won't be fixed overnight.

I think you'll find that the problem is we 'buy' world class but we do not ' build' a world class team. You can't buy a team, you have to built one !

To be fair, I think people are finally sussing out that a certain Mr Cullen was given far too much time in which to wreck the club, by bringing in numerous terrible signings, which were compounded by even more terrible contract renewals, even when it was obvious those players were average at best....(Clarke, Reardon... )

A more knowledgeable board may have realised a lot sooner, that Cullen should have been shipped out to Sky a long time before he eventually was.
