Why do people still use the dreaded 'D' word when a player is on the bench?
I note the Guardian included it when referring to Briers in this weeks match report. Haven't people twigged that we have moved on since the days of putting the best 13 on the pitch and simply filling up the bench with four blokes who aren't really good enough for much else than getting splinters in their backsides?
James Roby won Man Of Steel the other season, despite starting the majority of matches from the bench.
