Didn't know he had left the club. Does anyone know if this is a permanent move or a learning curve move for him with him coming back to the Wire at the end of it.

I thought he had the potential to be good SL player.

Perhaps his contract just expired etc, and he decided to try something, if it didn't work, nothing ventured nothing gained kinda thing. As it has worked, good luck to him.

Wasn't he hanging back from a fulltime contract until he had finished his pprenticeship at Ford's?

not exactly a youngster though is he, he'll be about 23/24 now iirc.
