Interesting to see the number of people whose contract is up at the end of this year and whose isn't.

Talk of 'sweeping clean' etc can be difficult if a contract is in place and the guy doesn't want to go - unless there's work on a mutually beneficial deal.

Apart from Gleeson who may be off to Oz, there's quite a lot of guys regularly in the 17 who still have contracts for next year and beyond.

Head Coach: James Lowes 2009
Assistant Coach: Nigel Wright 2009
2. Paul Johnson 2009
6. Lee Briers home grown 2009
8. Adrian Morley 2009 with option for 2010
10. Paul Rauhihi Overseas Quota 2009
11. Louis Anderson Overseas Trained 2009
13. Vinnie Anderson Overseas Trained 2009
15. Paul Wood home grown 2009
17. Steve Pickersgill home grown 2009
18. Mike Cooper home grown 2009
20. Simon Grix 2009
21. Matty Blythe home grown 2009
23. Chris Hicks Overseas Quota 2009
25. Chris Bridge 2009

I would keep Bridge, Neal (no idea if he is any good), Hicks, Cooper, Wood, Morley.

Unsure about the Andersons, I am really dissapointed how poor Vinnie has been compared to his time at St Helens. But that may be because of injuries or because Saints are a lot better and made him look better

All in bold need to go in my opinion and to be honest, i would be happy if they did

United Road, take me home
To the place, I belong;
To Old Trafford, to see United;
Take me home, United road

I would take Morley up on his option, maybe give Wood and Grix another year, give Cooper, Blythe and Neal a chance to develop, and bin the rest.

How can I miss you, if you won't go away????

Bold ones to go today would be nice :D :D

For me Morley has past it he's not the once feared impact player he once was a great shame when we signed him I was over the moon!!
Wood after the injury he doesnt seem the same player 1-2 seasons ago.
The Andersons havent impresed me..
Johnson well wonder why Bradford let him go.. My gran could run faster
Rah is finishing anyway and the rest well ask yourself what SL team would have them??
And out of the 27ish players we have how many would go to the top sides Saints Leeds etc??

I guess around 5 and would probably be world beaters

Theres only 1 Johnny Warbo

So you want rid of Wood, Pickersgill and Blythe?

We're the first ones to starve, we're the first ones to die
The first ones in line for that pie-in-the-sky
And we're always the last when the cream is shared out
For the worker is working when the fat cat's about
