Just watched the re-run of last nights game on sky.
As a neutral it was an excellent game, some good tries and some good collisions up front the forward were knocking lumps off each other.
I was surprised to read some of the downbeat comments on here.
Ok you've had a disappointing start to the season, but you've lost away to Saints, a team thats topped the table for the last four seasons, and you've lost to a very good Catalan side who came third last year and may do even better this year.
Cut out some of the needless penalties and the handling mistakes and your not far off a good side.

Absolute Rubbish...
The problem runs far deeper than that...
So far, we've played the teams that finished 1st and 3rd after the weekly rounds of last season? What gives us a god-given right to demand victory over them in the first two rounds of the season?
We're the first ones to starve, we're the first ones to die The first ones in line for that pie-in-the-sky And we're always the last when the cream is shared out For the worker is working when the fat cat's about

theres no god given right..its the manner of the defeats which stretch back to the tail end of last season...this bunch concede on average 30 points a game may be more...we do have a right to expect a lot better

It's been irrelavent who we've played last 7-8 matches. The result would have been the same. It's false hope to try to hide our problems behind who we've faced in the last 2 weeks.

I don't think it's disappointment over losing which is making people so angry. There is no shame in losing, even to lesser teams than Saints or Catalan, as long as you play well, play hard and are simply beaten by a team that played better onay. However with these last two games I think it's the manner of the defeat that has people so furious and the apparant lack of effort and pride that the team are displaying.

From a match winning position early in the second half we went on to lose the rest of the match at Saints 26-0. Similar position at home to Catalan and we go on to lose the rest of the match 34-2.
During a total of about 50-55 minutes of play over both games we have lost the remainder of the games, on aggregate, by 60 points to 2.
An absolute and completely unacceptable disgrace by anyones standards. Heads should start to roll (and I don't mean another sacrificial lamb like Penny).
But I'm sure the board, who obviously know what they're doing, will bury their heads in the sand in the hope that things might get better (whilst pointing out just how great things are off the field). When they finally realise changes have to be made it will be too late for this season, and they will then panic into giving Nigel Wright the job and guess what - this time next year we'll be having the same 'over reaction'!
