Jimmy didn't employ King or Monaghan so he doesn't have to justify anything.
What Jimmy needs to do is start getting performances and results before he gets the tin tack. If he goes Monaghan and King will still be picking up their monster pay packets.
I'd like to see Gleeson partnering Hicks on the right and Bridge partnering Johnson the the left.
Alternatively if Reardon is back, I'd probably put Readon outside Bridge and leave Riley at full back.
Penny/King partnership doesn't seem to have really worked - even for most of last year.
With a very fast winger - you need a solid defensive centre.
Take Offiah - couldn't defend to save his life (initially at least) but his inside centre at Widnes was an unsung hero in my opinion (forgot his name now).
And of course when Offiah went to Wigan he had class centres inside him from both an attacking and defensive point of view (was it Miles and Bell?)
