Listening to the crappy new RL Show on dire fm (Played more music than talked about rugby league and had a couple of interviews on) the interview with Jimmy Lowes was pretty boring however he did state that "It didn't matter whether we won, drew or lost tonight"
If it doesn't matter to the coach why did 4000 Wire fans just pay £15 to watch.
I understand that winning or losing the first game of the season doesn't make or break your season but don't come out in the press and tell me that it doesn't matter because it bloody well does. 16 Bloody years we havent won there and it doesn't matter. What a load of old ballcocks

Heard that interview also and it was a strange statement to make, maybe he doesn't have the passion of the wire fans but every match should matter and the two points are important whoever the opposition are.
A win tonight would have been great for team and fans confidence. but there again if it doesn't matter

Spot on, Geordie. One game doesn't make a season, but to say that when it's THIS game and thousands of us are now sat at home thawing out all gutted certainly isn't winning him any brownie points with me.
