Three trophies to win in a season, we've got one of them. Live Wired wouldn't even be happy if we had won all three. there are at least 11 SL Teams that won't win a thing this season. Almost everyone in the game has mentioned our improvement since Smith arrived, except Live Wired. Closet Saints fan, let him go there.

actually 12 teams wont win a thing.
To win the WCC you have to have won the Superleague trophy.....
so one team wins the Challenge cup and one team wins the other two trophies ( unless the aussies win it again)...
Rugbychick;
Thanks for the lengthy reply,but not quite convinced by the reasoning.We'll take point for point;
1/Play-offs; So being good in the 2nd half of the season entitles a team to be in the top 8.Drivel.Its a season-long competition and the teams who finish in the top 8 are there on merit.Now remind me,how many league games have we won in the last 7 (so we've not really played well in the 2nd part of the season.) and what league position was we in when Grinner came here?
2/Les Catalans as a club in superleague have done well and should be applauded for it.As you say,runners up and a CC final appearance (more than warrington have achieved in sl),but quite simply last season they over-performed,just like Warrington,Wakefield,Salford and Widnes before them,the following season they reverted to type.Huddersfield will do the same next year.
3/The main difference between us and the likes of Saints/Leeds is professionalism throught both clubs.It starts off the pitch and in the background and works it way onto the pitch.
4/Why should I do the publicity team's job for them?(do we have 1?)And as for the souvenir shop,its badly run.Ever tried paying cash for a season ticket?Look at the incompetance of selling the cup-final tickets,nobody knew where to go,if paying by cash or credit card.chaos.Mis-spelling of tee-shirts,again incompetance and a lack of professionalism on all sides
5/Throwing money around does'nt always bring success,Success is all about attitude in the club.(Wait until Chelseas fc implode and you'll see what happens,it eventually brings greed and squabbling amongst the players,look at Leeds utd and their position now.)what happens when the money runs out,as it did at Wigan rlfc?i'd much prefer to see a team that wants to play for a shirt,than 1 that is made-up of players who are here for a pay-packet.Hence teams like Wakefield,Castleford,Huddersfield and Hull KR (prime example),the 1s who quite a few on here think are not as good as Warrington,are the kind of teams who will continually do well,as long as they continue with the same mindset.

I await your list of HKR players who have come through the club.
Live Wired wrote:who said anything about "coming through"?
Your implying that HKR players arent just there for a pay packet yet I wouldnt imagine they have the home grown element that we do? (Happy to be proved wrong.)
Players with no tie to the club will be going there explicitly for the pay packet as any professional should.
There is nothing worng with the attitude of the players your just assuming they don't give their all because they will be on good salaries because of their previous records.
Smith has already proven that only committed players will be shipped out the door.

I think you have reasonable points in part and of course history backs up your argument. The club shop could be run better - agreed. We do have off field discipline issues - bridge/harrison - agreed. We do lack that winning mentality (i.e we can win both comps) which has been shown in the last 1/3 of the season - agreed terrible league form.
However we have won a major honour something that we havent done in 35 years. Smith is a proven winner across different clubs. We have signed one of the most exciting young halfbacks to emerge in years and we have the feel good factor again.
