I've got no issue with sponsors logos or even a slight difference in material as long as the rep shirt looks the same as what the players wear. What irks me is the fact that the rep shirt this year is a completely different shirt! Appart from the magical appearance of a collar, the colours are very slightly different shades, and the stripes are also different.
Reminds me of the fake Utd shirts you see in thailand etc. It's red, has a Utd badge, sponsor on the front and Rooney on the back. But that's where the similarity ends.

Because that's the whole purpose of a replica shirt!

The quality on the 2009 shirts that someone has posted a rave review of above was diabolical. Admittedly it's the away one posted and the home one I bought (a week before Wembley as it was a one off) so they MAY have been different, but nonetheless the fit was shocking (fairly tight body, huge arms and collar) and although I only wore it once I wouldn't have fancied it's chances of good longevity as it got a couple of bobbles in that time.
I'm too old now to care about new shirts every year, but I occassionally wear my 1993-95 home shirt to work as I'm a bad scruff and it's still in good nick (I wore it absolutely loads at the time) and fits okay despite me being 14 when I bought it and 30 now.

So you can imagine your one of the players yourselves walking out to the pitch, pretending to score in the dying moments against Wigan, imagining your parents are proud as punch you made it pro?
I don't care what the material is like on the supporters jerseys. So long as its comfortable and of a reasonable design.

If people don't mind if the design matches the actual shirt or not why do you buy a replica shirt at all, rather than, for example, a polo shirt which generally looks a lot better anyway and costs half the price?
