Can't for the life of me find where it states he has been sacked, looks like it's mutual thus stopping his mind wandering naturally towards the birth of the baby and the mayhem he is coming to at the Wire.

Depending on the birth date of his impending child , there is potentially nothing stopping his flying over for a few days within the existing season for a fact finder to give him early face to face awareness of the challenge ahead and some initial understanding of the attitude of current players towards success ... Skype conversations can mask a lot

They were never going to just dismiss him as he's best mates with the owner and a massive fans favourite. His position became untenable when he criticised the coach, one of the two had to go.
