just_browny wrote:Very trademark Warrington performance on a sunny Sunday afternoon against a team we 'should' be beating. You could teleport that performance to almost any Wire era and it would fit in.

I think the main thing is we won and the fact we didn't win by 80 is neither here nor there. But I do hope that Burgess gives them a kick up the booty for how lacking in intensity we were in defence and I really hope he kept the receipt for Bateman.

It's the customary drop of energy and intensity we get with warrington after big wins. We saw it first after Saints in the cup. And now again after beating saints and Wigan.

But we got the 2 points and are 3rd in the league.

This. We now have 6 games to navigate before the business end of the season, to finish as high as we can.

If we can get back to the form we had in some of our good wins I fancy our run in more than HKR and Wigan. Top 2 is still well on.

We played a good attacking side full of confidence in the sun whilst we had a few missing. I expected a tough game today and we got one and still got 2 points.

We won’t have Williams for a few weeks so a little dip is fine now as long as we’re back up and running in 6 weeks.

Think any of the current top 5 could win it

Where are you getting this from. Burgess said Williams left out precautionary and I found this from something he said earlier in the week.

Philbs and Kingy are more than likely to play this week. I still might give Fitzy one more week but he’s getting really close.â€

Yeah i don't believe the Fitz rumour at all to be honest, i reckon next week he'll be back, With currie, Yates, Nicholson and Williams. Currie and yates will make a big difference for us defensively, And if fitz is back we're looking dangerous.
Really Glad Philbin is back, he put in a high energy display and good punch. I know some people aren't his biggest fan but i'm happy he's back in the squad :-)

Terrible game, but came away unscathed. There are a few teams in similar places really, with players not making it and performances suffering. Wigan, Saints and Catalan are all stuttering at the moment. Hull KR are the only ones showing true form right now.

That said, we survived and got the points. Nobody will look at yesterday and think that it influenced the season either positively or negatively. In fact, we’ll have forgotten all about it by the playoffs.

Minutes for King, Philbin, Bateman really helps, and Lindrop, Holroyd, Wood and Wray gaining more experience. It’s essentially a mid-season friendly. Back to full strength for a dangerous Leeds team and look at those last two league games for another chance to rest/rotate.

Williams was on the pitch for approx. 10 minutes helping Taylor-Wray passing and receiving return passes from him, to settle the kid down prior to the kick-off.

Williams didn`t seem to be in any discomfort at all.

Later saw all the players walking from their team coach at Warwick Services car park to the Services and back to the coach. Williams was walking OK, with no sign of a limp.

The opposition are allowed good & bad days too it is not always just about us. There must be a few London boys who will be snapped up by Super League clubs for next season.

Criminal they’re not going to be in SL. They could really build something there and Eccles is a quality coach.
