We did enough to win that game, but we kept making stupid mistakes. Disappointed that Thewlis didnt score - a top class winger would have done (not having a go at Josh, but overall it wasn't one of his best games imo). Walkers dropped ball cost us another 6 points. It could have been 22-6 at half time. At least this time we were in the mix - which is a lot better than many other matches.
Vaughan and Mikaele caused loads of damage, and Philbin and Harrison carried the ball well. The left side with Vaughan, Williams, Currie, Ratch and Ashton looked pretty good. Shame Ratch didnt have his kicking boots on.

Chambers seems like a decent bloke but pretty much everything he has said since Powell was sacked, and the decisions he has made, leaves me deeply concerned. As does the apparent Burgess influence so far. If I was his current employer, I would be far from happy at the amount of time he seems to be investing in Wire rather than his present job.

How is him investing time in us a problem, I’m sure South's are ok with it - it could have been part of the agreement for him to come in 2024 rather than 2023?

Let's just say that if it was the other way round, and he was the current Wire coach but spending all his time concentrating on his next job, I would be far from happy.
If we're bombing chances were making them which is a baby step in the right direction.
Reading what chambers is saying about bullock and wrench is completely understandable and to be expected from a team putting together a run of wins. We cannot persist with a side that continues to lose games.

He does not work for them 24/7 so I don't think he is spending all his time on the phone to us. It does maybe question his focus but again it's not like he is running round the bike she's to sneak a call in to chambers when he is at work.
I don't think he is selecting the team or anything like that but probably has spoken to chambers and maybe a few of the players but that's about it if anything
Mata'utia did OK, he played as I expected (when we originally signed him)steady without being exceptional (low bar) none of the tries were conceded on his side. Wrench would have given more in attack but may have been worse in defence.
Attack was miles better Dufty was on fire and bar a bounce of a ball had a flawless game. Drinkwater was better.
Bar a bounce of a ball, a foot in touch, a dropped ball for us or a forward pass Tom Brady would have been proud of and a miracle offload for them we were there.
At least today we were there or there abouts.
Still think Dudson shouldn't be near the 17 and Chambers is damaging his credibility with the selection, but the games we have left are all winnable with today's attack and effort.

No, but that’s not the case, I’m sure I’ve read South’s aren’t replacing him as they are already carrying one more coach than normal, so they’re clearly confident they have what they need. He has an excellent relationship with Souths, I’m sure he wouldn’t be doing anything without their say so, I’m pleased he’s showing a level of commitment to us.
