Can I just state for the record: I do not think Derren Brown actually predicted the lottery numbers using some psychic ability.
My point is that I think he's above using such techniques as camera trickery. One reason why I respect him so much is beacuse he freely states that what he does anyone could do with a certain amount of intelligence and a lot of training and practise. He never claims he's psychic or magic, just that he uses illusion, misdirection, suggestion and an extrodinary talent for reading people.
I fully expect this to be a trick but I don't think it will be something as mundane as camera trickery or sleight-of-hand. He stated he'd spent a year on the project which, if it's true, implies something slightly more complex.

Just reading through this thread....Have to agree with RobWire, in that the key to this trick (or illusion) is that he never revealed his numbers BEFORE the draw (Legalities had nothing to do with this, the only legal stipulation was that the BBC have the exclusive rights to the draw....anybody can 'predict' a set of numbers if they wish).
It will certainly be interesting to see the actual method for this illusion, but personally I'd be a lot more impressed if he told us the numbers before the draw.
