I think the penalty against was given because the ref had so called tackle complete when he grabbed the ball back.. Maybe just giving the ball to May would have been a fairer decision. The right side defence does seem to have improved over the last few games & Tai is looking to be a future handful for opponents. As for Crowther ,i think he has made a difference ever since last season ,he is like a machine. Great team performance & an excellent win over a very good HKR.

Was it not him? Looked like it from where I was sat but stand to be corrected. Lewis tried to run it on the last and he nailed him on about the 30 metre line. Could be me, eyes aren't what they used to be.
Warrington Guardian thought it was him but they could be wrong too.

What I did notice from last night's game was the lack of 6 again shouts from the ref..2 teams playing the game how it should be played unlike a couple of certain teams who use every trick in the book to gain an advantage

I don't think FMC was suggesting that it wasn't Crowther, but just saying what a great tackle it was. And it was definitely Crowther, by the way!

Best league performance of the season imo. Hugely impressed with Tai who is a real handful with the ball and seems to relish a big hit. Fast becoming a crowd favourite. What's happened to Ben Currie? Thought he was outstanding last night. I can"t remember him taking the ball in at full pelt like that for years. He's like a new man this year. Got to give the coaching team a lot credit for turning us around from the poop show we were for the last two years. More of this please fellas.

I missed the first half (due to a jolly boys at Chester Races) but caught the second and thoroughly enjoyed it. I love attacking rugby, but, hard work, coordinated defence, hard work, trusting your mates, and hard work, make all the difference if not more so than attack.
Sure, we wont win every game, but if each one of the players, no matter who's next man up, can see effort, then team spirit will see us through most, as against decent opposition like KR we wont have it all our own way for all of the game.
There's so much good about this team and the way that Sam and Co have got us playing it's a joy in comparison to recent seasons. Fair play to all involved.

Having watched it back, Crowther had a much better game than i thought.... i knew he was involved in some key moments defensively, but i didn't realise how many.
he ran himself into the ground and threw himself into tackles... It was a truly exceptional performance.. his best in a wire shirt.
The effect Burgess is having on these players is so good to see.
Also, have to mention Thewlis.. who was immense and well deserved his MOM.
probably the most satisfying game of the season for me.... coming up against a team on the up, who had outplayed wigan and saints recently. We never gave them a chance.
We pinpointed the weakness... exploited it fully... then our aggressive defensive, all across the pitch, got us over the line.
Burgess, Gleeson, Marshall have been nothing short of a revelation.

The smartest move I saw in the game, I think it was Ashton and Fitzgibbon.
Ashton challenges the ball from an attacking high bomb. Fitzgibbon was in Ashton’s wake, and just in a picket position to hit Eveals the instant he hits the floor, should he take the catch.
It’s was a fantastic peace of play that gets no reward. Step up Richard Marshall with Fitzgibbon.
Provided I got the players right. I’ll have to watch it back to be sure.
