Powell reckons he couldn't have dropped anybody from that team today despite wanting to leave out two of them at least. Assuming those two are Kasiano and Dudson -
Wrench to Centre, Ratch to Loose, Philbin to bench, drop Dudson and bring in Whitehead. Simple.

What croc of an excuse that it, I’d rather he put the academy kids in that put players in that just don’t care. Let them rot on the sidelines till only job they get is playing for Widnes.

Yeah he has went something like:
‘We trained well all week the boys have been class, we’re really hurting at the minute but we know what to do. Thought Pete was class at centre though’

What kind of message does that send at all?
This screams of ITS NOT MY FAULT.
Don't let the door catch your Aris on the way out, Powell(y).

Saints can put a young prop in and it looks like they have been playing first team for years.
Doesn’t give a good message to our current youngsters and potential young signings when the coach prefers to play underperforming players than give chances.
And the message to the underperforming is don’t worry I won’t drop you no matter how bad you are.
This is Powell’s team. Whether the players are underperforming or not he signed these players and they are his. If he’s happy to go in the Kings Head signing after winning a few games he has to front up and take the criticism now.

The message I get is the players don't respect the coach and he can't get the best out of HIS squad. Time is up, it's been up for a month or more IMO, this dressing room needs to hear some new voices because they aren't responding to the ones they're hearing now.
