Signing imports for positions you really don't need them in! Not only club to blame at all but when have players like Riley one year on edge of England squad and next maybe out the door due to another import it's ridiculous and why the game will move backwards.

and who are you to say we are signing imports in positions 'we dont really need them in'.... I think Tony Smith knows better than you... if he decides that we need to sign an overseas winger then we do. Its as simple as that.... Do you think he goes out and signs players he doesn't need just for something to do?
'signing imports for positions you really don't need them in'......what a bizzare thing to say.
Clubs NEED to start taking some responsibility for aiding the international game and youth development. Full stop.
If you really feel the need to sign an Aussie to play on the flaming wing when you have one on the other side then it's a bit of a joke really. Yes I get the 'what's best for our team' mentality but long term your gaining nothing and probably costing a lot more too!

Your only on this thread look for Wire rejects to fill your squad
You also play in a league where we send our young players to learn the trade.
Why your sticking your nose I don't know but I think we can't get another Aussie in as Trent took Kings place, at this moment in time we have lost an Aussie and a Kiwi an signed an Aussie along with 2 young English players something you seemed to of missed on your trolling mission.

Key word! Not that I disagree two very good signings (especially Hill) and the right way to go IMO but still doesn't dismiss the point of YOUR youth production does it?

It's quite simple, we give our young players opportunities, lots of them. If they're any good they play for us. If they're not any good, after somewhere between 30-100 games for us they go shipped out to lesser sides, like your lot hence why you end up with Pickersgill, Hulse, Noone, Penny etc and their may be more to come.
All the young lads get their chances, some cement their places like Cooper & Harrison, others don't.
The ones who get shipped out can't bemoan lack of opportunities, just that they didn't grasp them. At some point, all of Pickersgill, Bracek, Penny, Riley, Williams, McCarthy, Mitchell, Noone and on and on ... Have all been first choice, have all had runs of games in the side but have never done enough to date to become a fixture as others have.
You get the impression a few more might leave this year or get moved on to gaffs like yours to allow the next batch the opportunities to cement their places.
