I get that play off games are extra and some might be being 'careful' as they hopefully come thick and fast and in threes, but would have expected another 1,500 on Friday's gate v Saints with a hope that we saw 'Sold Out' at the HJ.
Not having a go at anyone, just wondering if we as a club should be concerned? I think we had better turn outs under Smith, although the stats will probably prove me wrong, (I seem to remember a near sell out v Saints when Carvell went the length of the field), where and why have those fans gone?
Is it the game, cost of living, TV which I think was high ratings considering other viewing or something else?
Can it be fixed as I'm sure that Sam and the staff value the support and whilst the atmosphere couldn't be faulted empty seats isn't a good look.
It’s likely it’s a combination of all those points but also following sport is a fickle business. If your team is poor they stop going I saw this for myself when we we going through the I know what team I have Price era. Where I always use to be in the South stand a lot of familiar faces were disappearing and not coming back. This was another reason I was getting so annoyed with the KFP antics you want fans in the stadium you need a winning team or they just won’t turn up, gimmicks may get them in but you need to be winning to keep them coming. Well that’s my belief. And thanks for the comment I hope I can get back to games soon.

Best wishes karetaker. Hoping you’re better soon and able to get back to the matches.
Let’s hope we get the job done on Friday.

Absolutely. If someone wants to go and watch the Wire - whether they haven't been before, have only been infrequently, or have for whatever reason stopped going - then surely that's great? No need to give those folks a negative comment like 'coming out of the woodwork'. This season has been fun and exciting, however it finishes, and I hope it inspires lots more people to start attending.

Sorry to hear about your health issues, Karetaker - best wishes.

I don't really get the coming out of the woodwork jibes anyway. Of course more people want to go to a semi final than a regular season game! If the play offs followed the Challenge Cup format and had the semis at neutral venues, would the thousands going then be accused of coming out of the woodwork because they don't normally go to Hull KR away? Behave!

That carvell game was 15 years and a lower capacity ago.
Also fans hadn't got sick of repeat fixtures, and the game being well, any of the excuses used by fans today that don't go.

I’ve done my fair share of away games, the logistics of getting to Hull on a Friday night. Makes it’s difficult for me to attend, so it’s the next best thing, watch it on the telebox, whilst posting on here, during the game.
