Unless it's just lazy journalism in relation him still in a recovery phase from his previous injury. Obviously nothing from the club but lets hope its nothing.

Isn't it more that Salford have been/are living beyond their means and the RFL has had to step in and enforce a maintainability cap to stop them doing that? Can't be asking for £0.5M worth of urgent advance payments to keep the lights on.

The thing is, though, that it's the RFL that has ordered Salford to sell players in order to comply with their new reduced cap of £1.2m. That needs to happen ASAP, so the other clubs would actually be doing Salford a favour (of sorts) by buying their players, and thus helping to get them within their new cap. Salford being left in a worse situation in terms of their playing strength is an inevitability (unless the RFL change their minds, and I rule out nothing with those clowns). As for whether or not Salford deserve to be in this season's Super League, that's a moot point. Perhaps future IMG grading questionnaires need to be more explicit, and contain a question along the lines of 'Are you at risk of imminent financial collapse?'.
Salford have been on a tightrope for a good few years financially & it isn't a good advert for the game at the start of the season. Even the new ground hasn't really helped them.

The new ground has been the catalyst of Salford woes.
Built away from their fan base on wasteland and owned by Peel Holdings and Salford Council with no way of generating any income for the Rugby League Club.
On another note, good to see Connor Wrench training, Looks to have put a little bit of size on as well. I hope he has an injury free year this year, he's in his last year with us, and regardless of his potential, if he gets another injury that takes him out of action for a long time we might release him.
