It was an ok game for the start of a season. Can’t really look to deep into it, I did think the atmosphere was very flat at times for such a big crowd.

That's because the pies were struggling to put the game away From Leigh, and they didn't, hence the silence from the pie fans.
Anyway - Leigh Leopards win.............& Luke Littler Wins Great night in the Cokey family all round tonight.
Really enjoyed that, play that game in round 5 and I’m sure there would be points, but enjoyed it considering it was a nil nil. I’d also (remake) the point that 1 point each for the draw would have been more than good enough and a fair end to the game.
Keep the golden point for cup / play off (though I’m not sure Cokey will agree right now lol, congrats

Wigan's success recently has been largely based on defence, smothering the opposition out of the game and waiting for Field or French to come up with something. If not for them two they're pretty ordinary.
Do you get points for being more likely to score nowadays?
I thought there were some interesting signs for the rest of the league. Just like in a few games last year, there was some shocking petulance when things didn't go their way and Keighran should be enjoying a few weeks on the sidelines.
Despite being heralded as being the gamebreaker, Mago came on, got put on his booty twice and that was about the last we saw of him. Also thought Leigh dealt with Nsemba very comfortably.
I couldn't see any "degree of mitigation" for Keighran. It was a good old fashioned swinging arm to the head. When I remember how some players have received big bans for lifting a player (who is play acting) or mistiming a tackle and hitting a head with a shoulder ... then I think he should get a decent ban. He's a bit dangerous is Keighran & Mr Peet will not be pleased.

With the new disciplinary points system in place, he might not get a ban at all.
