It was a poor, bitty sort of game, low on quality, but could have gone either way. You get peaks and troughs during a season - the Saints game was a peak and we have dipped since. Not sure about that penalty try, though. The ball was bouncing back out of the in-goal area, so a big call to say he would definitely have scored.
We were poor to average and were still looking like winning it until that penalty try. Shame Vaughan didn't get that ball down just before otherwise that would have sealed it. Salford are a decent side. But i always feel they raised their game against us. They're always tight games against them. We're always going to lose games but in previous seasons it was always the manner of them. I cannot say the same this season. We have always been in it until the end. Draw a line under it and move on to next week.

I thought that performance was absolutely abysmal to be honest. We’ve played a Salford side who didn’t play well and a 30% per cent performance would have got us over the line. Bar Williams and Hayes the rest of em were dreadful.
Lindop must be injured otherwise he needs to come in (or Lynch) if Ashton is injured and Ratchford and Russell should never trouble the first team again unless for an absolute emergency.

The tackling for Salford's 1st try was pathetic kids could do better..we got what we deserved.. Huddersfield will be hoping this wire team turn up for the semi final
We made their pack look really good, even after they lost Vuniyayawa. We definately need another big prop, not a second rower/prop but an out and out Prop. The whole team just looked Tired to me, everything was slower and sloppier with no aggression this week. Gutted for hayes, looks like his season is over with a snapped ankle

I’m no doctor but looking at the footage(no pun intended) I’m guessing at least a year, it looked really bad.

Vaughan also needs a good day talking to.
Lindop hobbled off injured in a game about a month ago. I have not seen him in any of the Academy/Reserves games since then, so I assume he is still injured?
Not heard anything about Lynch since he was loaned-out to North Wales Crusaders for a season long loan.
I would have preferred to see Kai Taylor-Wray make his debut on the wing, instead of Russell.
Russell just isn`t Super League standard and should be playing in the Championship.
Yeah i like Russell and i've always thought he was a decent utility squad player, dependable and solid. But he he had an absolutely stinker yesterday, really really bad, but the squad as a whole weren't great, hopefully just one of those off games.
