IIRC it took Bridge a few seasons to get clear of regular niggling injuries, and I felt we got a decent return from him overall.

Dead right about Bridge. My point is that the forum heading is "Sims/Wheeler/Philbin" but it gets hijacked by the Wheeler gang. Where's Asotasi when you need him??? ... and don't start!!

Probably because Sims and Philbin offer good value for money whereas Wheeler has offered very little, even when fit. That VFM assessment is regardless of wages cos Wheeler has been very poor, even when he has played. I just do not get it with him. I'm really pleased the other two have signed.

would leeds or wigan put up with wheeler..no,,even saints got shut...so why should we have him..only the deluded would keep hin.

Not a massive fan of him but ts must believe he can get something out of him. IF he can remain fit and play to his abilities he will do well.

Every club has a couple of players who earn relative peanuts. It's a way to boost the squad size whilst accommodating the salary cap.
