I am afraid you are being very shortsighted if any of us where in a similar position I am sure we would all make what in others oppinions are mistakes.
agree...............without moran the club would not have the infrastructure it has today, I would prefer him involved with the club.
I am sure they are thinking long and hard about the situation knee jirk decisions have been the problem with this board, I hope they see fit to plan a long term and sustainable outcome to replace lowes and move on

I haven't got a source and i said i would even do without the money.

The Andrew Johns deal paid for itself, and as far as I am aware any new signings have come off contract so transfer fees haven't been necessary. We are running under the salary cap, so the club is paying wages out of the money the club is making.
This thread reads as if SM is making every decision at the club, and paying all costs personally himself!
Wood and Westwood, Gleeson & Carvell.
The fundamental that seems to have passed everybody by, is without Moran, there would be no need for this forum.
Didn't William Webb Ellis pick up the ball and run, someone should really tell Rugby Union.
blackburn had a fan who also happened to be a millionaire injecting cash, now i don't know how he worked on the board but i do know that consistency on the field and eventually the premiership title didn't come until kenny dalglish was made manager
so, for me, moran isn't the problem, he is the only possible solution...that is, him getting tony smith (or equivalently good person with proven record) to come on board as manager and then all parties (fans/board) having patience and giving him time to build a team...i don't think the board being patient will be a problem given there track record haha!
i thought giving jimmy some time was the right way to go but if he has been threatening opposing fans then he should be sacked and if there is so much disharmony in the camp as is suggested on here then obviously he is not right

I know emotions are running a little high at the moment and people are getting extremely upset about the on-field performances, but to come on here and have a pop at moran simply beggars belief.

getdownmonkeyman wrote:So you are saying, you personally know that Moran has no knowledge of RL?
I'm saying i have come to the opinion that Simon Moran has a limited knowledge of Rugby League due to conversations that i have been involved in within his presence on a number of occasions.

So his pennies have brought a world class centre to the club, two quality (if injury prone) props and most fans favourite player to the club. I'm sure that if whoever the coach was wanted any player in the world, and that player was available, he would fund that deal too if possible.
Moran, the Board, Lowes (though I agree with that one), half the back room staff, Doug Hoyle, Briers, King, Monaghan, Rauhihi, Clarke, Bridge, Johnson (agree again), Reardon (and again), Penny, all the shop and ticket office staff, the stewards, and Mr "On 3, 3 - 2 - 1" (definately get rid of him) all have to go!
Won't be much left

I wouldn't go that far. The club would never have got planning permission for the new stadium if it wasn't for the fans (does anyone remember the comments in the report) and the club has alwasy been bigger than any number of individuals.
However I do firmly believe that Simon Moran is essential to the future of the club but I do wish he would get some better people and advice around him. Clearly things are sliding away at an alarming rate of knots.
