May explain why HKR always make that scaffolding stand reserved then.
I was hoping we would be at the Galpharm, like in 2001. I cant help but feel a sence of deja vu with us facing Wigan in Widnes while the following day Hudds play Saints at our gaff.

With both teams averaging over 10k, surely a venture to bigger ground would have been worth it, maybe Bolton. A lot of regulars will miss out.

Bit of twisting of the arm there.
Think it's a cracking idea myself, make sure those genuine fans get tickets rather than tom, d!ck and harry getting them.

It also means the RFL are making sure both clubs are missing out on revenue, you will always get people that don't attend many or any games that will come out for the bigger games.
Its such a shame they haven't chosen a bigger venue as I have 6 people who don't have season tickets that will be more than likely unable to attend. 2 of them have never ever attended a game and who knows they may have enjoyed it so much they would become regulars...

granted it was much further away and only qf but we only took about 900 to craven park
we would never take anything like 5500 away to wigan in superleague
the league game between us a few eeks back only drew 10500ish
i reckon it's spot on when you factor in how close it is...maybe a handful will miss out but compare that to doing it at, say, headingley/galpharm and i can't see us taking more than 5500 all that distance maybe knowlsey road might have been slightly better but can see why they prefer wids in terms of how crud kr is hahaha and as said it's too close to new season for most footy teams to let us use their places

Although i see were your coming from and i agree that the RFL should have picked a bigger venue, think about this.
JWP is on holiday until the 15th, he get's to most if not all home games but returns from holiday to find he cant get a ticket because there sold out. He then finds out that many tickets have been sold to people that hardly go the games if at all.
That doesn't sound fair so with the club doing it this way they are making sure that people without Season tickets who still attend a good number of games are getting looked after before those who have a friend of a friend.

i am surprised the tickets are on sale so quick. I would have thought that with the game being 9 weeks away they would not be on sale until start of July thus giving the likes of JWP and other holidayers time to arrange for people to get tickets for them or to post applications.
